Treasurer’s report- approved as read-Meeting now being held at the
new Conservancy Bldg., except for Annual meeting at Halls clubhouse.
-Safety/Patrol- P. Schlatter- patrol boat motor now 23 yrs. old,
leaking oil, electrical is bad. Quotes $9,200.- 90HP Honda from Clear
Lake Marina, $8,728- 90 HP Honda 4 stroke from Lake George Motion to buy
the quoted motor from Lake George Marina- so moved.
-Fireworks- P/ Schlatter- July 5, rain date July 12. Pyrotechnics
contracted to do the show. Pontoons are fixed, Larry Frazer put on new
decks, still need top coat. Hagerman’s donated another pontoon boat so
we have 5 now to use as barges for fireworks. Sand Beach fireworks will
be July 4 by families of Anthony’s and Parrish’s.
-Fish/Wildlife- G. Zandstra-now have enough $ for next years
fish. 21’-22’ walleye caught this summer.
-Weeds- P. Schlatter- 6-12-08 Eurasion Millfoil was sprayed.
There are new areas growing that were not on survey before. Add to
request fo LARE Grant next yr. Aquatic Weed Control 574-533-2597 Jim
Donahoe. PLEASE USE FERTILIZER WITH NO PHOSPHATE, SO NOT ADD TO WEED
PROBLEMS.
-Events- Cindy King- Boat Parade theme " make us laugh", call
King’s to register or e judge. July 5, 6:30 pm. Take off from your own
dock.
-Garage Sale- June 20-21, advertised in Coldwater, Angola and Ft.
Wayne. J. Stang- community garage sale at the conservancy bldg., money
goes to conservancy. Collection time Thurs. 2-6 or contact J. Stang or
F. Schlatter.
-Boaters Safety class- June 28 at Hall’s clubhouse. Call Rose
Carmer to register. Kids and adults welcome.
-Website- D. Stang- weather now on website, as well as meeting
minutes and lake info.
-Break ins- G. Zandstra- notice in breeze that we have had 4-5
boathouses and cars broken into on Spring Bank. Call Sheriff to report.
-Dam- -Bill Schlatter- not heard anything yet, appeals court
heard the case in April 2008.
NEW BUSINESS
-Wine Tasting- J. Stang- June 28, 5-7:30pm at the marina. Buy
tickets from Joanne, Jane Mote, Jane Case, Linda Hagerman. $35.00
ticket, money goes to the Conservancy.
-DNR- L. Hagerman-recycling program. Allied & Indiana would write
a contract if we do it lakewide and get discount. Linda will find out
about putting a container in a central location, and individual
pick-ups.
-Trash- D. Otherson- community corrections is picking up trah on
old 27 and 4 corners every weekend. We need to pick up the filled bags
when we see them and get rid of the.
-Tornado Siren- C. King- no grants 0 $ at this time to install
one. $25,000 to put in a siren for Lk. George. Wal-Mart sells "Midland
Weather Alert" radios for $25.00. Best option at this time.
-New Conservancy doors from D&J Stang and new tables and chairs
from J&J Case for the Conservancy bldg. |
