The Lake George neighborhood was developed as a result of the construction of Tech High School (now Saint Cloud City Hall) in 1916. The primary character of the neighborhood remains single family housing with homes built in the 1920s and 1930s. Multiple-family housing (both owner occupied and rental) are located along the primary transportation corridors that surround the neighborhood.

The neighborhood’s assests include Eastman Park and Lake George, which provide year-round recreation opportunities for the community, and offers easy access to downtown St. Cloud.
